WRLC Delegates Endorse NDP Candidates for Upcoming Provincial Elections

February 18, 2025

As the provincial election draws near, the Waterloo Regional Labour Council (WRLC) has decided to endorse all NDP candidates running in our local ridings. After careful consideration and deliberation, the WRLC delegates voted to throw their full support behind the following candidates who are committed to advancing the rights and interests of working people:

  1. Catherine Fife – Waterloo
  2. Jeff Donkersgoed – Kitchener-South Hespeler
  3. Jody Szimanski – Kitchener-Conestoga
  4. Brooklin Wallis – Kitchener Centre
  5. Marjorie Knight – Cambridge

This endorsement is not just a formality but a statement of solidarity. The NDP has long been a party that champions the issues that matter most to workers, including fair wages, job security, affordable healthcare, and accessible education. As the upcoming election will profoundly impact our communities’ future, we must come together to elect leaders who understand the value of labour and are committed to strengthening workers’ rights.
